Cocktails have always been about enjoying time with good people.
Punch is an excellent way to serve lots of friends without playing bartender the entire time.
If you have a more intimate crowd with just a few guests, this is the recipe to use. Light fruity apricot, rich aged rum, smooth cognac and fresh lemon combine for a cool and refreshing beverage.
Ingredients:
1oz. Brugal Anejo Rum
1oz. Courvoisier VS
¾ oz. Bols Apricot Brandy
¾ oz. lemon juice
¾ oz. simple syrup
Soda
Lemon twist
Method:
Pour all ingredients into a shaker and shake vigorously.
Pour into a glass and top with a few ounces of soda.
Garnish with a lemon twist.
Tips:
Twisting a lemon peel over the drink will release the oils from the peel. This creates an aroma of fresh lemon to enhance the flavours in the drink and heightens your taste through the addition of your sense of smell.
Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for best tasting results.
Simple syrup is made by mixing equal parts hot water and sugar.
