When you gather with friends and family for Thanksgiving, consider adding this week’s cocktail to the mix of food and drinks. The ripe figs give the cocktail its texture, the mint adds a fresh aroma and blends with the rich flavours of the Famous Grouse Scotch.

Famous Figmint of Imagination
2 oz. Famous Grouse Blended Scotch Whisky
8 mint leaves
Start with putting ice in a martini glass to chill it while we make our cocktail. Cut the figs into slices and rip each mint leaf in half. Place in a shaker glass, add ice and pour in Famous Grouse. Shake thoroughly to allow the figs to break apart. Discard the ice from the martini glass and double-strain the mixture into it.
Place a sprig of mint along the rim for a garnish.
Placing ice in the martini glass while you prepare the cocktail will help keep the drink colder longer. As you sip the martini, it will gradually warm up and the Famous Grouse Scotch will release more flavour.
Double strain is a method of straining that uses a standard hawthorne strainer (metal strainer) as well as a fine or mesh strainer. This method removes any seeds or pulp, leaving you a pure liquid to enjoy.
